Complete tech-newbie: How to set Blog Small Left Sidebar as index page?

Hi guys,

I am having major trouble customizing my site using the Highend theme. I’m a little over my head!

All I want to do is use the “Blog Small Left Sidebar” option shown in the demo site as my homepage for my blog, as well as the “Standard Post” blog page as my main layouts for my individual blog entries.

Can anyone help me to do this? I would even be willing to pay someone to actually go in and do this for me because I seriously have no clue what I’m doing!!
