colors for logo bar versus navigation bar

Hi. I would like to make the background color for the main navigation a different color than the background color for the logo bar. How can change these colors independently?

Also, I’d like to make the words “Night Club. Dance Club. Bar.” a different color than the main navigation color. They are both gray at this point. If I change the navigation color, the other words change also. How can change these colors independently?
