I have been trying for days to figure out how to resolve this situation. Here is what I am running into and I’m hoping someone has a solution.

    1) I have the HighendWP theme installed properly with all plugins.

    2) I have the HighendWP Child Theme installed and ACTIVE so that I can override the style.css file from the parent theme, without worrying that the styles will be overwritten when HighendWP parent theme is updated (like yesterday).

    3) I need to change the “responsive.css” file inside the sub-folder called “css” that resides in the parent theme, so I copied the same folder (css) from the parent theme and placed it inside my child theme so that the path to responsive.css is the same. I made changes to responsive.css in the newly copied css folder, but saw no changes. It didn’t work.

    4) I then needed to make some changes to the number of locations on the Google map inside Highend Options. I read on the forums how to do this and followed the directions and double-checked the folders and file names making sure that my child theme folders and files matched. I made changes, but nothing worked.

It appears that sub-folders are off limits in the child theme or aren’t allowed to be modified. Is this true? Anyone else experiencing the same issues? How can I fix this? I need to be able to make changes to PHP template files that are below the root level. If I can’t then I need to find another theme elsewhere and see if the marketplace will offer a refund. 🙁

I appreciate any help. Thank you.
