Bullet and Numbered Lists Not Formatting Correctly

Hi, whenever I try to make a bulleted or numbered list, the formatting is never correct. Is there a way to fix this? The indentation is never correct, and it always leaves out extra lines I’ve made between paragraphs. I’ve attached screenshots of what it looks like when I write the post, and what gets published.
