Blog Settings

Hello,

I am trying to update my blog options but when I select the page as blog, the page template options no longer appear so I am unable to switch between the templates. I am using a child theme and have the file editor disabled thru the dashboard but I can modify anything I need to. I only added a function in the child theme and any CSS is in the customizer. Just not sure what I need to do so that I can fix how my blog looks. The excerpt is also not working as well. It just shows the title.
