blog image carousel

i am attempting to use the blog image carousel on my home page to display most recent posts from a certain category. I’ve added the plug in within the my page, it displays my most recent posts and will link them to the post if you click the actual image but not if you click the Title of the post. upon opening inspect element i see this

im not too familiar with coding. but i do understand that where the “#” is where the link to my post is supposed to be. how do i add the link the title to the post? i want to make sure the title link will update each time i add a more recent post for that category.

also how do i disable the box that is behind the title txt but infront of the image? it completely blacks out my whole image.
