Blog Carousel Excerpts

When using the Blog Carousel in visual composer the manual excerpts are ignored. Posts which use theme features such as context boxes will be shown without an excerpt because the text inside those features is ignored. Could you give us the option tho choose manual or automatic excerpts or change the code in the blog carousel to ignore the shortcodes and take the excerpts from the text inside?
