Adding a wave file from Itunes

I just started a website for an entertainer and I have never added a wave file before. It opened in itunes and I am wondering how to add it to a page? If it is somehow uploaded directly to site I think it will slow it down. I somehow need to pull it out of itunes and wondered if a straight audio file can be added to vimeo or if you have a suggestion on how to add it. It is 3min and 20 seconds long.
