Addendum to 'Masonry no featured image…' below

This is an addendum to “Masonry – if no featured image? Heading hyperlinked?”, which I couldn’t reply to because the thread was closed.

My issue is with a Visual Composer component. You pointed me to them. They, however, say of people who purchased VC with a theme that “support related questions should be addressed to your WordPress theme provider.”
