Add Blog Section to page?

I created a new page, called blog, chose the grid layout. My blog posts come into this page after I publish it and view it. Now I want to embed this page into another existing page on my site. There has to be a way to do this. Right?
I have alternately attempted to add a section to the intended page by using the WP editor of that page and selecting blog element – I am offered different layout options to present the blog posts but anytime I select any of them the posts come into the page all hinkey with no way to control, edit, modify etc.
Which approach am I supposed to be using here? The documentation or lack there of for this simple task is very surprising to me. I am on day 3 of using this theme and very unimpressed with the documentation and support. I expected a learning curve but I also expected valuable accurate instructions as guidance.
Any direction on the simple task of wanting to add a new section to an existing page and that new section being an area to present blog posts?
