2 column blog category result page?

I have the default page layout setting to be fullwidth since most of the site is full width. Only the blog section is 2 column and I’m fine with adjusting that per post via the layout settings within the specific post. However, in the side column of the blog, I utilize the Categories widget. When I click on a category it pulls in the results in a full width page template. The only way I can get it to be 2 column is to change the default page layout which I don’t want to do.

Is there a way I can set the category results page to be 2 column without changing the default full width settings?
