WPML (WordPress Multi Language): I need to customize lang. selector in header

Using WPML, i need the correct code, and to know where to put it in order to line the language selector flags up in the header in one of 2 ways:

1) sticking to the RH margin beneath Social Media links and email address (full right margin)

or

2) centered above everything else at the top of the site – mirroring the centered flags in the footer.

The WPML plugin site offers some advice on this but its not clear to me if the code will work with Aegaeus (my theme), what the exact code should be (i am not a code writer), and where to insert this code within the site.
