WPBakery Page Builder – update issue

Hi, there,

This question may not be related to the HighEnd theme, and I wonder whether you could kindly do me a favor.

I noticed that a new version of WPBakery Page Builder is available, but it seems I could not update it (see attachment). Could you do me a favor and check whether there is any way to update it, or whether I have to pay for subscription or a licence to have it updated?

If it is the latter, is the WPBakery Page Builder essential? I have used Classic Mode and Frontend Editor a lot. Can I leave WPBakery Page Builder as is (not updated)?
