WordPress 4.9.6

Dear All,
When I changed the WordPress version 4.7 became to WordPress 4.9.6, I could not changed ‘marque’ in theme header php directly on the dashboard. I can change such thing on file manager (is too risk for me).

My question is, the Aegaeus WP Theme is dedicated for WordPress version 4.7 and when you change to WordPress 4.9.6, is that effect for this theme?
