Woocommerce Product image getting chopped

Hello guys,
Losing my mind, probably spent 10 hours trying to find a solution to no end.

Basically, I have tried EVERYTHING from playing with every combination of every pixel size in the woocommerce settings and regenerating the thumbnails, turning hard cropping on and off, and the whole thing but the problem remains.

The issue is 2 fold..

1) On the product page, where all the products are listed after selecting the category, the image for all of the products is cropped (or blown up depending on the image). It is chopping off the left and right sides no matter what I do (or zooming in and making it blurry). If I upload a rectangular image, then it works okay, until you get to the product detail page which then crops the image again incorrectly, now chopping off the top…

2) How do you turn off the hover image, which shows the second picture in the gallery? So far I have been able to avoid this feature but putting the image twice in the gallery so the hover image is the same, but it doesnt seem like a viable solution.

Edit, after spending some time reading this forum, where I probably should have spent more time, I appear to have resolved most of my issues. A combination of the solutions posted here: https://hb-themes.com/forum/all/topic/resizing-of-product-images/
was all I needed! Now I will play with the HighendWP > woocommerce > content-product.php file to edit those hover settings and I think I will be set!
