Visual Composer with Highend not working

After days of researching, I just bought Highend and now can not make the visual composer work correctly. It is activated and I can enter both front end and back end, but when on front end, and click on “add element” or “block text”… another screen pops up allowing me to select an element such as row, slider etc. (dozens), but then nothing happens. I have reviewed all support documentation, watched the vimeo video by visual composer, but I’m not getting the pop up windows with the element I’ve selected.
Please help!!
