Visual composer greyedout

Ok I bought the Highend theme that comes with visual composer and a few others and when i activate visual composer and go to my pages and click edit with visual composer the next screen has all the options greyed out and I have tried every single way all the forums say to fix the problem and nothing fixs it and it is really frustrating not being able to finish my website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
