Updating Highend from 1.0 with Child

I am about to update a WP install that is running 1.0. of the Highend theme with a somewhat modified child theme. I’ve read the manual update instructions for v.3.2 and I have downloaded the most recent version of the theme.

Just trying to see if there are any pointers not in the 3.2 write-up? Do I also need to remove the child theme?
