theme is not installed completely

I installed main theme few days ago, when I was installing, it said, failed these and that, a long list of failed, and at the end, have fun. After that I am trying to edit website, but some feature seems not work. eg. I want to add left side categories on the products page, but I can not find it anywhere. and On the product page, the main menu seems changed and won’t show the drop down menu. Can you help?
