Revolution Slider Image distortion

Hello I am using the revolution slider that comes with the highend theme.

For some reason Images added to my slider 1 are being set to 600 X 600 in the browser even though I have the height and width defined to 600 X 400 (the resolution of the image)in the revolution slider settings.

This happens in all browsers at all resolutions and zoom level is irrelevant.

Upon removing the image/layer and adding it back (then saving) I am able to refresh the browser to see the image in it’s correct resolution however that does not last and it reverts back to a square aspect ratio of 600×600 shortly after.
