Resizing of product images

Hello,
I changed the product image size on the woocommerce>setting page. This was done after i had uploaded images to my pages and menu. THe website does not reflect the same. i even downloaded the suggested plugin and did the regenerate thumbnail, but still the file size on the website remains the same. Plea advise.
