Remove timestamp graphic header

I just installed Aegaeus to migrate a real estate site to WP, and I don`t need the timestamp or its graphic header in posts ( will use posts instead of pages because I can keep my .htm extensions in custom permalinks ). I did remove the date using a code I found online but the graphic header is still in place:

Can anyone tell me where and how to remove it? it`s getting in the way of my design. I will keep a copy of all the php code changes to the template so I can apply it to future template updates. Thanks in advance, that theme is a work of art.
