Quick question about contact templates

Hello,

I’m trying to add a custom map to a Contact Us page as I find the Highend one a little restrictive.

If I add a new page and select ‘Contact Template’ from Page Attributes, I appear to be unable to add anything other than either a Google Map (via Highend Options) or an Image to the page. Example: http://www.vedapulseuk.com/contact-us/ – I’ve put in some shortcode and even the words ‘TEST TEST TEST’ using the page editor and nothing is showing up.

However, if I add a new page and use ‘Default Template’ from Page Attributes, I can add in the [bgmp-map] shortcode: http://www.vedapulseuk.com/pirate-2/.

Am I missing something, or is using a contact template really this restrictive? If so, how can I edit the Highend map so it behaves like the plugin (info and photo pop up upon touching).
