Product variations

I’m setting up our online store using High End and Woocommerce. I’m using product variations and can’t figure out why all attributes are showing up when I preview the product. I’ve tried it with a small amount of variations and it works fine (ie. only shows the available colours and sizes when kids hoodie is selected as style)
However as soon as I add more variations it starts showing all the attribute data as a selection for example when you click kids hoodie it shows sizes 2-5xl and all colour options even though variations have only been set for black and grey marle in sizes 2-12.

Not sure what Im doing wrong. Please tell me there is a way to only show options for the set up variations?
