Product Image and Select Option

On my shop page I don’t want the product featured image to change to product gallery image when you place the mouse over the image. Also at the same time I don’t want the select options to appear when placing the mouse over the product image. Is there any way I can place select options underneath the image or have the select option appear over the featured product image without it disappearing?
