password reset not working

Hello. I have forgotten my password for my website I am creating. However, I have tried for two day to reset my password but apparently the password reset function is not working. Each time I request to reset my password, I receive no notification in my email. I have looked in all folders (junk, inbox, spam) for the reset notification and it’s not there. Please help.
