Manual Update from v 1.5 – Major Errors

I am trying to reopen a topic that I already started which was marked closed. Can you please tell me how this problem is to be fixed? I need to update my site. I downloaded a fresh copy of the theme and the folder called “hbframework” is still listed in the theme files. I am hesitant to install this since it already broke my website the first time I tried to update and Noda stated in the last thread, “from what i see this is the pretty strange because we don’t have this folder “hbframework” n our theme, can you tell me how exactly you updated the theme?”. The first attempt did not work and I had to restore the database and theme files back to 1.7. I had to upload via cpanel since I would not access the WP dashboard. I had an older theme on file back from March that I tried installing, it allowed me to access the WP dashboard but my content was corrupted. Since I was able to access Updraft restore, at that point, I just restored everything back to it’s original state at 1.7. You stated in the last thread that folder “hbframework” should not be there when in fact it is there in the current download from MOjo. Also this site was create using the original shortcode, i.e., “[vc_row]” Is this still compatible with the updated theme? Please advise, thanks!
