How to change font color in sidebar

Hello. I have a sidebar widget showing my recent blog posts. The default font color is black. My background is black, so the current font color is blending in. I have the color customizer active and I’ve been trying to change the font color in the customizer and haven’t had any luck. Can someone assist with this?
