How can I tell if I used a child theme or parent theme to create my website?

Hi, I have no idea what I did because I was completely new to website-building when I started and now it’s been a year and I need to update my website, but I’m scared to because it might be the parent theme…I don’t want to lose my hard work!!! It took me 2 months to build this website. Thank you!
