Highend Theme /WP Bakery

I bought this theme via Bluehost and it comes bundled with Bakery etc. However I’m finding functionality (ahem) sporadic. For example, a simple thing like attaching a link to an image in a teaser box setup provided in the demo – nope, no can do, won’t work …. then trying the same link on a button – will do the button but it doesn’t link – just a dead button.

Can anyone help??
