Help with Tabbed content?

Hi! I’m trying to set up tabbed content on a page. I want to have 8 tabs, and I copied the code from the Tabs & Tours page, but it doesn’t seem to be working correctly.

Questions:
1. Is there a tutorial, or instructions that walk me through how to set up a tabbed page? I can’t seem to find one. The shortcode documentation doesn’t have any info on tabs.
2. I’m assuming that all the tab_id values have to be unique, so I did that. Is that correct?
3. The Tabs & Tours page indicates that I have to use the Visual Composer to edit these tabs. Why is that?
4. The problem that I am running into is that after I make the changes and save the page, some of the tabs show up, and some don’t. Is there a limit to the number of tabs I can have? Or a limit to the character count within a tab title?
