Help! Trouble with blog posts page.

Hello –

I recently decided I’d like to add a blog page to my website. I am having some trouble getting it to display the blog minimal option.

1. If I have the reading setting to -select- the page displays properly but it does not populate all the blog posts, it only shows one blog excerpt, but other than that, the page looks exactly how I want it.

2. If I set the reading setting to -blog- page it shows all the blog posts, but it does not display the page layout correctly.

I have scoured the forum and cannot find any solution. I have turned off and reset all cache and I have watched a demo video that was posted in another thread. What am I missing?
