Gallery template sorter bug

Hello,

using
– WordPress 6.1.1
– Highend 3.8.2

the sort of gallery items for the Templates “Gallery – Standard” and “Gallery – Fullwidth” do not work correctly.

I use the following configuration and also tested on a new clean installation:
– Sorter = true
– Order By = Date
– Order = Descending

When loadind the frontend the items are sorted correctly. Newest item is first, oldest last.

When clicking the button “Date” with the title “Show Newest First” it then shows the oldest first and the newest last and sorts correctly. It would be better to still have the newest first as the title attribute says.

Sorting by name show correct sorting. A first, Z last.

Clicking on “Date” again then sorts the items by name Z-A instead of date.
