frontend editor not working

The frontend editor is not working and will not save what we enter. When we try to add something to a text box (or a picture) and then save, nothing happens. The visual composer mode does the same thing, not usable. We have been trying to get our group’s website up for over a week now and keep having these technical difficulties. We can edit in the Classic mode but it is not as user friendly. Please help!
