Featured images not showing on social media

Hi there,
I’m just wondering if there’s a way to make the featured image on a blog post be the one displayed when sharing on social media? For some reason, when I share my blog posts, it is choosing an old image that has nothing to do with the post that I’m sharing. Is this a setting somewhere? I’ve never had this problem before with other themes.
