"extra" Footer space

I have another interesting one for you.
I’m trying to add and adjust one of the footer widget areas so it sits under the first two.
Here is a screen shot so you can see what I’m saying

I want to put a text area with a subscribe email input box there.

I was thinking if I could “add” a 4th footer area and move it using CSS that could work.
Is that possible, or is there another way of going about making this a thing?
