Essential Grid – to show title of each portfolio item

I use an Essential Grid for my service page. Here is the URL:

I have three questions:

1. For the Essential Grid, is it possible to show the name (or title) of each Portfolio Element underneath each picture? This would make it more intuitive for users.

2. For the Essential Grid, is it possible to remove the magnifier symbol/light box from the hover-over effect? There is no need to show enlarged images for the purpose of this site.

3. If the above Essential Grid settings are not achievable, I have a backup plan – I have added two rows (below the Essential Grid) showing the same content. Can I add some effect to the images in these two rows similar to that of the Essential Grid? Since some images are very bright, the borders would show better if a darker effect could be added over the images.
