edit slider revolution in home page

Hi,
Im trying to replace the slider revolution in homepage template with a different one I just created. Under essential grid custom settings/alternative sources there is an option to select slider revolution but when I pick the one I want nothing happens. Also In visual composer edit mode there is no box for upper slider revolution to play with settings. The slider revolution option in edit homepage shows default without any other option.

The plugin seems to be working fine since I can add-edit-delete any slider revolution in a blank page. It seems there is a conflict with the homepage template.
