    Hello,

I’ve read some info on dequeueing certain plugins (Essential Grid, Slider Revolution, Woocommerce, Layerslider) to assist in speeding up page loading time.

Firstly, would doing this help page load times noticeably? My site loads fast but there’s still an initial wait of several seconds sometimes before the entire page then renders within a second or so.

My site is on a managed VPS (Dreampress by Dreamhost) that is SSD hosted, and I’m utilising both W3 Total Cache and also basic CloudFlare functionality (provided by the Dreampress service), and the VPS is utilising PHP 7.

Even if it’s possible that it won’t affect loading times, I’d like to experiment. How can I dequeue some of these unused modules whilst using the child theme? The info I’ve read is asking to edit the theme-scripts.php file in the functions folder of the main theme, but there are no instructions on how to tackle this with the child theme.

Also from a consistency standpoint, is it safe to even do so, or do I risk breaking other site functions? (for the modules I’m definitely not utilising – Ess Grid, Woocommerce, and Slider Revolution)

    Thanks in advance.
