Create a new Gallery

I want to create a gallery that has the logos for clients for whom I’ve done a project. I then want to place that Gallery in the footer of my home page under the title of “Recent Projects”. I’ve managed to create the gallery but, when I go to add it to the footer, it doesn’t show up. Clearly I don’t know what I’m doing wrong and I need some assistance.
