Contact form not responding

I’m having problems with the contact form on the ‘Contact Page’ template after upgrading to Aegaeus 4.0. It doesn’t respond when I hit the send button, which is a bit dangerous as I could be missing out on customer contacts. It was working fine before I upgraded to Aegaeus 4.0

As a workaround, I’m using the contact-form-7 which works OK, though I preferred the theme form layout. How do I get the contact-form-7 to sit to the right side of the page as in the ‘Contact Form’ template?
