Changing navigation bar color changes title background color as well..

I find many areas on this highend theme to be a bit confusing when compared to other themes.

I am trying to change the color of the navigation bar. When I do this it changes the background color of the logo area as well instead of them being 2 separate areas.

It would be nice to be able to change the background of the logo area separately. and change the navigation bar color separately.

Can this be done? This doesn’t seem right-is this a glitch that was maybe overlooked?

Please advise on solutions..
