Change Background Color

I was playing around with the background color and added a code to post section. I now want to go back to the previous color layout settings, which I believe is plain white.
I put in the following code in the “post” section of the dashboard: <div style=”background-color:#FFFDE8″> and now it changed the entire background color to that. I tried to delete it and then tried to again replace with <div style=”background-color:#FFFFFF”> but the background color is still showing as the cream color.

I would like it to go back to its previous settings of just white background color in the Home view.
