Can't change theme color when using fixed-width LayerSlider WP

Hi,

Thanks for making an excellent theme.

I’m using LayerSlider WP with a fixed-width of 1140px as a Featured Section on one of my pages. Unfortunately, it is causing the background color on either side of the slider to appear as dark grey.

I have tried changing all the colors in both the LayerSlider WP settings and the Live Color Customizer, but neither seem to work. I was wondering if there was a CSS class I could change to set this to my preferred color (#f9f9f9).
