cannot remove sidebar in shop

Hi there

I have been struggling for over two hours to try to figure out how to remove the sidebar from my “Shop” page. I have set it to Fullwidth, as suggested in these posts, but there still is a huge space to the left of my products where the sidebar was. How do I remove this area?

Thank you for your help. Really frustrated.
