Blog Images Carousel Elements Per Row

The Blog Images Carousel does not display correctly, and it seems to be dependent on the size of the browser window. I set the Elements Per Row field to “2” it shows two images, but only when the browser window is larger than a certain size. If I make the browser window smaller, it starts showing four really crowded images, until I shrink the window to the mobile size, then it goes back to two images. Is there a setting somewhere that defaults the rows to four on a small or medium desktop?
