Add text and Button in Featured Section over Featured Image

On my home page -I have an image loaded in the Feature Section. I need to have some text and a button placed over the image. The WPBakery Page Builder will not place anything over the image and I can’t find anything in the Highend reference materials on how to do this.

I have not loaded any of the plugin sliders that came with the Highend theme. I don’t want to add more plugins then I absolutely have to. We also did not load a demo site since we would have had to take most of it out.

I am using a fullwidth page with no sidebar. We only have a few blog posts under the image.

Do I need a Slider? I won’t have more than the one slide if I do.
Do I need a Image Banner?

Please help!
