Random Portfolio Widget?

Hi there – first off its great to see the forum open up again so users can share issues and help each other out. The Aegaeus theme is awesome and I’ve used it a fair amount.

I was wondering if there could be the ability to create a “random portfolio” widget that would work with this theme (much like the random blog widgets out there).

I’m doing a real estate website and I’m using the portfolio for the featured properties and I’d like to have random featured properties listed with a photo in the sidebar on the main page. Could this become an add-on? or is this difficult to do?

Any help would be great.
