How to add regular (WordPress original) search bar to header

Currently, Highend has a live (fancy) search, which is nice, but it has some limitations & bugs as discussed in other posts. This will hopefully be fixed in the next update. Until then, is it possible to just add a regular search box (from WordPress) to the header? Preferably without modifying the theme files.

Actually, instead of programming your own live search, why don’t you start supporting Ajaxy Live Search plugin instead, it’s fully featured and free.
