I am testing out the Highend theme I purchased for a potential project so imported the sample content to get started. The import went fine and brought in a couple hundred menu items for the main menu. I added a menu item to that main menu and then saved. When I did, more than half the menu items disappeared. I researched it and found the max_input_vars setting for PHP on the server needed to be changed so I set it to 3000. After I did that, cleared the database and re-imported the sample content again, I tried saving a new item to the menu again. It still removed some items from the main menu, but left about 175 of them this time.
My question is, what max_input_vars setting is HB Themes (or anyone else) using on their servers for PHP to allow the full number of Highend menu items to be added to and saved? I ask because I have a client project coming up that may require menus with a large number of items and I am looking for some reference point to avoid hitting the limit and losing menu items.
Thanks!
